World Economic Forum head Børge Brende claimed Thursday that he is stepping down after encountering stress over his calls with the late sex transgressor Jeffrey Epstein. Brende, a former Norwegian foreign minister, claimed in a statement that he had decided “after mindful consideration” to step down as president and president of the forum, known for its annual January top in the Swiss Alpine resort of Davos.
