Veteran US civil rights protestor Jesse Jackson dies aged 84

Veteran United States civil rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson, among the country’s most influential Black voices, died in harmony Tuesday morning, his family said in a statement. He was 84. Jackson, a Baptist priest, had been a civil liberties leader since the 1960s, when he marched with Martin Luther King Jr. and helped fundraise for the cause.
