United States hails progress on Haiti’s anti-gang force, but political elections deal with steep hurdles

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that development had been made in putting together an international anti-gang pressure for Haiti, raising hopes that boosted security might permit long-delayed political elections to go on this year. Yet with armed groups controlling much of the resources, the possibility of a reliable vote stays unclear.
