France’s armed forces ministry on Friday said a drone strike eliminated a French soldier and injured six others in Iraq’s independent Kurdistan region. Head of state Emmanuel Macron defined the attack as “unacceptable” and firmly insisted Paris’s duty in the center East battle continued to be purely protective.
