A UN peacekeeping base near the town of Mais al-Jabal in southern Lebanon came under fire, sparking a blaze that injured one peacekeeper. UNIFIL is checking out the case, said spokeswoman Kandice Ardiel, noting that “the scenario below in South Lebanon is perilous and unstable, not simply for peacekeepers, yet likewise for the civilians who live below and that have had to leave this area also”.
