According to media records, United States President Donald Trump is weighing preliminary limited strikes to force Iran into a nuclear deal. Talking to FRANCE 24’s Sharon Gaffney, Barbara Slavin, Distinguished Fellow at the Stimson Centre, says that it’s unikely the United States will certainly take care of to topple the Iranian federal government with airstrikes and may result “in an extra aggressive and repressive government, if that’s even feasible”.
