The US is no more a democracy. One of one of the most qualified worldwide sources on the wellness of democratic countries now states this outright. The Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) Institute at Gothenburg University gets to the worrying conclusion in its yearly record, that the US is hurtling towards autocracy at a quicker price than Hungary and Turkey.
” Our information on the USA goes back to 1789. What we’re seeing currently is the most extreme size of democratic backsliding ever before in the country,” states Staffan Lindberg, creator of the institute.
