Trump counter-terrorism chief gives up over Iran battle, criticizing Israel

Joe Kent resigned as nationwide counter-terrorism facility supervisor, claiming Iran posed no unavoidable hazard to the United States

Joe Kent, director of the National Counterterrorism Center and a far-right political figure and supporter of Donald Trump, surrendered from his setting on Tuesday in objection of the battle in Iran.

” I can not in good conscience sustain the recurring battle in Iran,” Kent created in a resignation letter posted to X. “Iran presented no impending danger to our nation, and it is clear that we began this battle due to press from Israel and its powerful American entrance hall.”
