A team of Buddhist monks, a day after finishing a 108-day Walk for Peace from Texas to Washington, walked to Capitol Hill on Wednesday prior to heading to the Lincoln Memorial in conclusion their trip. The 19 monks and their canine, Aloka, walked 2,300 miles (3,700 kilometers) throughout several Southern states– in some cases in cold conditions– drawing huge groups in cemeteries, town hall and town squares.
