Pope Leo to go to Algeria, a first in papal background, on jam-packed Africa scenic tour

Pope Leo XIV will go to Algeria in April in the first ever papal see to the North African nation and the birth place of St Augustine, the tutelary saint of Leo’s spiritual order, the Vatican introduced Thursday. The pope’s stuffed itinerary includes brows through to Angola, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.
