Peru’s Congress on Tuesday voted to remove the acting President José Jerí over the corruption accusations, growing political uncertainty just weeks prior to the country’s April presidential and congressional political elections. Jerí is under preliminary investigation for alleged impact peddling tied to a series of undisclosed conferences with both Chinese execs.
