A strong push by AS Monaco to secure the services of Nikola Mirotic, per insider Chema de Lucas.

La Roca Team reportedly hopes to sign the 34-year-old forward to a three-year contract.

His contract with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan includes a player option for the 2025-26 season. Therefore, Mirotic can become a free agent and consider a potential offer from Monaco.

Playing for Scarpette Rosse in the 2023-24 edition of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, the Most Valuable Player of the 2021-22 season went for 17.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.3 blocks over 30 appearances, all in the starting lineup of head coach Ettore Messina. His 11th journey in Europe’s premier club continental competition and second with Olimpia Milan was limited to the Regular Season, since a team record of 17-17 fell shy of a postseason berth.

The Podgorica native and former Spanish international previously suited up for FC Barcelona and Real Madrid in the EuroLeague. Between his stints with the ACB powerhouses, he logged 359 appearances in the NBA, spread from the Chicago Bulls to the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans.

The current campaign is still alive through Italy’s LBA UnipolSai. Packing 16.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 0.7 steals per game over 21 appearances in the Regular Season, his efforts helped build a 19-9 W-L tally. His side ranks fifth, two games away from co-leaders Virtus Segafredo Bologna and Trapani Shark, with two games left before the 2025 Playoffs.
