FRANCE 24’s Mexico City contributor Ioan Grillo claims that the loss of 25 National Guard soldiers will certainly be devastating for Mexico. News of the death of Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, set off spasms of violence, with cartel members blocking roads in 20 states and torching lorries and services. At least 25 National Guard participants were killed in succeeding clashes.
