Death comes two months after Alford was jailed for eight-and-a-half years for sexually assaulting two teen girls
The star John Alford has actually died in prison 2 months after being imprisoned for sexually assaulting two adolescent women.
Alford, 54, was imprisoned for eight-and-a-half years in January after he was condemned of the assaults which took place during an event at a friend’s home.
The star, who appeared in the dramatization London’s Burning and BBC reveal Grange Hill, died at HMP Bure, Norfolk, on Friday, the Prison Service stated.
Alford, who was tried under his actual name, John Shannon, was convicted of four matters of sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl and charges of sexual assault and attack by infiltration associating with a 15-year-old girl at a residential or commercial property in Hertfordshire in 2022.
Jurors heard during the test that he had sexually attacked the women while they were intoxicated after an evening out at the bar.
A Prison Service agent claimed: “John Shannon passed away behind bars on March 13 2026.
” As with all deaths captive, the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will certainly explore.”
