For two weeks every February, Nice, on the Cote d’Azur, bids goodbye to wintertime with the most significant carnival in France. The annual occasion commonly commemorates the king, but this year the motif will certainly be ‘Long live the Queen’. The initial parade begins on the 11th of February and spectators are urged to spruce up from head to toe.
