Israel on Wednesday claimed it would open the Rafah crossing from Gaza to Egypt to allow citizens “specifically” to leave the besieged Palestinian territory “in the coming days”. Altruistic teams have asked for the resuming of the important border crossing under the terms of the US-brokered ceasefire offer.
