Faberge’s rare Winter Egg fetches document ₤ 22.9 M at public auction

Fabergé’s The Winter Egg sold for almost ₤ 23 million ($ 30 million) at Christie’s in London, setting a new world public auction record. Commissioned by Tsar Nicholas II in 1913, it is just one of 43 enduring Imperial Easter Eggs, valued for its rarity and craftsmanship.
