Cedric Behrel, co-founder of the independent UK distributor Trinity CineAsia, which holds theatrical distribution rights to “Ne Zha 2” across 37 European countries, spoke with CGTN during the 15th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF). Speaking of the movie’s distribution in Europe, Behrel highlighted the challenges of maintaining humor in translation and the importance of localized subtitling. He emphasized that while humor may be culture-specific, emotions speak a universal language connecting global audiences.
