European medicine regulatory authorities on Friday recommended a brand-new and easier treatment for sleeping sickness, in what could be a large boost to initiatives to get rid of the condition. A European Medicines Agency board offered its nod to acoziborole, established by Sanofi and DNDi. Speaking to France 24, Dr Luis Pizarro, executive supervisor of DNDi, stated the new pill can revolutionise therapy of the condition, which has killed hundreds of thousands throughout Africa.
