Binge drinking increases greatly among gen Z in their very early 20s

Study tests concept of ‘generation sensible’ as alcohol and drug use boost after teenage years

Binge drinking prices amongst gen Z have actually increased sharply since their teen years, according to study that tests their credibility as “generation reasonable”.

Virtually seven in 10 (68%) 23-year-olds reported binge alcohol consumption in the past year, while nearly a third (29%) said they did so a minimum of month-to-month, up from 10% at age 17.
